Gold Panning for RedM

Gold panning for RedM (VORP, RSG or QBCore RedM) with a real mini-game: scoop gravel from the river, then tip it onto the sifting table, brush and shake it through the wire screen, and pick out the gold before the daylight goes.

Gold panning that's actually fun. Scoop gravel from the river, then tip your pan onto the sifting table: a black and gold 1901-style mini-game where you brush and shake the wet gravel through a wire screen and pick out anything that glints before the daylight goes.

Works on VORP, RSG Core and QBCore RedM through the free poggy_core.

How it plays

  • Take out your pan from the inventory or with /goldpan. Game prompts show when you're standing in shallow water.
  • Scoop with a splash and a short gold progress bar.
  • Sift. Drag the mouse to brush gravel aside, press Space to shake sand through the mesh, and sweep pebbles off the frame. Buried finds glint once uncovered; click them into your pouch. Whatever you leave on the table is lost.
  • Several finds per pan: gold nuggets, gold, silver and bronze coins, tin, rock, sand and the odd crawdad.
  • Sell to the Gold Buyer, marked on the map, in a black and gold menu with prices that change every day.

For server owners

  • Cheat-proof: the server decides what is in every pan when it's scooped, and only hands out pieces that were really in it. Finishing too fast, too late or somewhere else is refused, and you must stand at the buyer to sell.
  • Pan wear (25 uses by default, shown on the item) and a lucky rabbit's foot.
  • Everything configurable: finds per pan, loot table, empty-pan chance, sifting time, gravel amount, buyers, prices, keys and every word players see.
  • 12 original item icons, an install guide and copy-paste SQL.
  • Fonts included, so the mini-game works offline.
  • Open source: readable, editable Lua and JS, no escrow.
