Overview
VORP Inventory Reskin gives vorp_inventory a new look: aged brown-black paper framed in gold. vorp_inventory stays stock and keeps owning every item, container and rule. This resource only draws the screens and adds two features, a hotbar and a Ground panel. It is a reskin of vorp_inventory, so it works on VORP only.
- A new inventory screen, with search, sort by category and item details.
- Every container vorp_inventory can open: stashes, horses, carts, houses, hideouts, banks, clans, shops and more.
- An eight-slot hotbar on keys 1 to 8.
- A Ground panel: dropped items lie where you stand, and everyone nearby sees the same pile.
- Panels that players can drag, and walking about with the inventory open.
- Money and gold shown as items in the first two slots.
Requirements
- VORP:
vorp_coreandvorp_inventory. - oxmysql.
Install
- Download
Britannia_vorpinventory_reskinfrom portal.cfx.re → Assets → Granted Assets. - Put the
Britannia_vorpinventory_reskinfolder in your server'sresourcesfolder. - Turn off vorp_inventory's own screen. vorp_inventory keeps drawing its own inventory when a container opens, so its page must be replaced by a blank one. This is the only change inside vorp_inventory, and no Lua is touched. Do one of these: ``
sh cp "resources/[vorp]/vorp_inventory/html/ui.html" "resources/[vorp]/vorp_inventory/ui.html.before-Britannia_vorpinventory_reskin" cp "resources/Britannia_vorpinventory_reskin/docs/vorp-patch/ui.html" "resources/[vorp]/vorp_inventory/html/ui.html"``powershell powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "docs\vorp-patch\patch-vorp_inventory.ps1" -Path "<your vorp_inventory or resources folder>" [-Undo] [-Yes]`-Yes` still stops if it finds two vorp_inventory folders.- Windows (the easy way): double-click
docs/vorp-patch/patch-vorp_inventory.bat. It finds vorp_inventory in the sameresourcesfolder (or opens a window to pick it), shows you the folder, asks once, backs up the original tovorp_inventory/ui.html.before-Britannia_vorpinventory_reskinand patches it. You can also drag your vorp_inventory folder onto the .bat. Run it again on a patched server and it offers Undo. Everything it does is inpatch-vorp_inventory.ps1, in plain text. - By hand (any host: FTP, a web file manager, Linux): keep a copy of
vorp_inventory/html/ui.htmlsomewhere safe, then copydocs/vorp-patch/ui.htmlintovorp_inventory/html/, replacing the file there. On a shell (adjust the paths): - From a prompt, without questions:
- Windows (the easy way): double-click
- In
server.cfg, start the reskin after vorp_inventory, and take out any other resource that replaces vorp_inventory's screen: ``ensure vorp_inventory ensure Britannia_vorpinventory_reskin`` - Restart the whole server, not only vorp_inventory. Other scripts keep their stashes inside vorp_inventory, and restarting it alone loses them until they restart too. Anyone already in the game reconnects once, so their game fetches the blank page instead of its saved copy.
The database tables britannia_inventory_hotbar and britannia_inventory_ground are created automatically on start. Item pictures come straight from vorp_inventory/html/img/items/, so nothing needs copying.
After every vorp_inventory update, blank its page again: an update brings its own page back. While the page isn't the blank one, the server prints a red block on start that tells you which file to run.
Removing the reskin: undo the patch first (run the .bat again, or copy vorp_inventory/ui.html.before-Britannia_vorpinventory_reskin back over vorp_inventory/html/ui.html). Otherwise vorp_inventory has no screen at all.
Configuration

Commands and permissions
| Command / key | Who | What it does |
|---|---|---|
I | Everyone | Opens the inventory (Config.OpenKey, rebindable) |
1 to 8 | Everyone | Uses the item or weapon in that hotbar slot (Config.HotbarKeys, rebindable) |
/hotbar | Everyone | Hides or shows the hotbar at the bottom of the screen for that player. Keys 1 to 8 still work. The name is Config.Hotbar.hideCommand. |
| Shift / Ctrl / Alt + click | Everyone | Moves all, half or one of a stack between panels |
How it works
- Inventory. Press I. Click an item to see it, double-click to use it, right-click for more, or drag it to move it. Containers (stashes, horses, shops and so on) open beside it, exactly as vorp_inventory sends them.
- Hotbar. Drag an item from the grid onto a slot, or right-click it and pick a hotbar slot. Drag between slots to reorder, or drag off the bar (or right-click, Clear) to remove. A slot remembers the item by name (weapons by their id): run out and the slot dims, get more and it comes back. Pressing the key uses the item the normal vorp way, and equips or unequips weapons. Hotbars are saved per character.
- Ground. Dropping an item puts it in the Ground panel, where you stand, instead of vorp's box on the floor. Everyone within
Config.Ground.radiussees the same pile and can take from it, and a satchel marks the spot. Items vanish afterConfig.Ground.decayMinutes. Weapons keep vorp's weapon limits. Money and gold still use vorp's own drop. - Layout. Panels drag by their title bar, and the hotbar by its grip. Positions are remembered on each player's own PC. The ↺ button in the header puts them back.
Troubleshooting
Both inventories show at once
vorp_inventory's own page is back, usually after a vorp_inventory update. Blank it again (step 3 of Install) and restart the whole server. The server console prints a red reminder while it isn't blank.
Players still see the old screen after patching
They have the old page saved. Each player reconnects once to fetch the blank page.
Stashes from other scripts went missing
vorp_inventory was restarted on its own. Restart the whole server instead.
The console says it can't read vorp_inventory/html/ui.html
vorp_inventory isn't started, or starts after the reskin. Put ensure vorp_inventory above ensure Britannia_vorpinventory_reskin.
Item pictures are missing
Pictures are read from vorp_inventory/html/img/items/<item name>.png. Add the missing picture there. Items without one show a blank picture.
An item can't be dropped on the ground
The pile is full (Config.Ground.maxItemsPerPile), or it's a weapon and Config.Ground.allowWeapons is false.
A weapon left on the ground disappeared after a restart
vorp_inventory forgets a weapon that lies on the ground when the server restarts. The pile entry clears itself the next time someone tries to pick it up.
